Moody Motorsports Announces New Sponsor

Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show to Sponsor Kyle Moody for Remainder of the 2011 Season

Lewisberry, Penn. (June 16, 2011) - The No. 99M 358 sprint car driven by Kyle Moody will have a new look in the weeks ahead. The team has announced that the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show will be featured on the top wing and hood of the sprinter for the remainder of the 2011 season.

Moody is coming off of an impressive stint with the United States Auto Club Series (USAC) during its Amsoil National Sprint Car "Eastern Storm" week. He competed among the best 410 wingless sprint car drivers in the country, doing so with his own 358 cubic inch horsepower power plant. In the races, Moody earned one top-10, a 13th and 16th-place finishes. However, Moody was involved in an accident late in the week that had sidelined his car the following two race weekends.

"This couldn't have come at a better time for us," says Moody. "We were thrilled with our results during the USAC Eastern Storm, especially since we were the only 358 team out there. We just had some misfortune at the end of that week that has put us behind a bit."

"Chris O'Hara, from the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show, came up to me at one of the USAC races and said he might be able to help me out for the rest of the season. Right now, it's what our team needs to be able to get up front and start winning races. We've been close a couple of times, but with this sponsorship we'll be able to get back running strong again and challenge for wins."

"We are using some of the money from the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show sponsorship to rebuild the engine. Belmit Development is rebuilding it for us and they have been helping us out a lot also so we can back out on the track. We weren't sure how we were going to make all of it work before but I'm so grateful for everyone that has stepped up to the plate to help us out."

The Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show is the largest consumer event of its kind in North America, held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Penn. It attracts outdoor sports enthusiast from around the country to view hunting and fishing products, plan outdoor sport and camping vacations, shop for fishing boats, fishing tackle and hunting gear, and ATVs, and participate in a wide range of sport-related contests and family entertainment offerings. Moody's car will be on display at the 2012 show, which lasts from February 4-12, 2012. For more information on the Eastern Sports and Outdoor show visit www.easternsportshow.com

"We're really excited to have Kyle represent the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show for the rest of this season," says Chris O'Hara, event director for the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show. I've gotten to know him and his family through racing and have been impressed with him from the very beginning. Not only does he have talent but he has put the time and hard work in to get to where he is today. There are only good things to come for him and we can't wait to be a part of it."

Moody has been racing since he was nine years old. He started out in go-karts and moved through the ranks of the micro-sprint divisions until finally moving to a full-sized sprint car in 2009. His first full-season in a 358 sprint car, he earned his first win at Williams Grove Speedway after just his fourth time racing at the track and went on to win two more races that year at Lincoln Speedway. He finished the season 10th in points at Lincoln Speedway where he was also awarded Rookie of The Year. Moody started 2010 off in a 410 sprint car, earning three heat race wins, but went back to racing in the 358 division early in the season. He finished 12th in points at Williams Grove Speedway and had numerous top-5 finishes.
